The subject property is located one block off the main town square in Sylvania GA fronting on East Ogeechee Street and North Filbert Alley in the city limits. According to the Screven County Tax Assessor’s Office, the original area of the building was built in 1940 and was added onto in later years. The building was being utilized as a hardware store and is now vacant. The original front left part of the main building is concrete block construction on a reinforced slab.
